I am a Canadian visual artist working primarily in acrylic and mixed media. I am drawn to colour, gesture, memory and the natural world —and to the space where abstraction and recognition meet.

I began painting later in life, after many years working with photography, and that way of seeing still informs my work. I look for fragments, atmosphere, movement and the emotional weight of ordinary moments.

My paintings are built through layers of paint, collage, marks and textures. Some begin with a place, a figure or a remembered image; others evolve more intuitively. I am less interested in explaining everything than in leaving room for the viewer to bring something of their own.
